1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Tacet (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Tacet, operated by Aditya Bhattacharyya ("we," "us," or "our"), governing your use of the Tacet mobile application.

2. Description of the Service

Tacet is an iOS application designed to help users manage their screen time through:

• App and website blocking using scheduled blocks and countdown timers
• Unlock challenges that introduce friction before accessing blocked apps (e.g., typing a phrase, waiting, arithmetic, breathing exercises, step counting)
• Difficulty tiers (Gentle, Moderate, Strict) that control the level of bypass friction
• Streak tracking to monitor daily screen time goals
• App Groups for organizing apps and websites into reusable presets
• Widgets for quick access to blocking controls

The App uses Apple's FamilyControls framework to manage app restrictions on your device. The App also uses PostHog for anonymous product analytics to improve the service (see Section 6A).

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are between the ages of 13 and 18 (or the applicable age of majority in your jurisdiction), you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the App.

By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements. We do not knowingly provide the App to anyone under the age of 13.

4. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on a device that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.
