The Short Version

Tacet is available on iOS and Android. On both platforms it is designed with privacy at its core. Your data stays on your device. We do not operate servers that store your personal data. We use two third-party services: RevenueCat for subscription management and PostHog for anonymous product analytics, which includes anonymized screen recordings (session replay) used to diagnose usability issues. All text inputs, images, your blocked-app list, step counts, and the camera view are masked in recordings. On iOS you can opt out of analytics and session replay at any time in Settings; the Android app does not yet include an in-app opt-out toggle — email us at [email protected] and we will delete your analytics data. We do not sell, share, or monetize your data in any way.

2. Data We Collect

Tacet collects and processes the following categories of data, all of which are stored locally on your device:

2.1 Screen Time Data

• Total daily screen time (iOS: Apple's DeviceActivityReport API; Android: the system's usage statistics, accessed via the Usage Access permission)
• Per-app usage durations, and on Android, device pickup counts
• App category classifications (iOS only, as provided by Apple's Screen Time framework)

This data is processed entirely on your device. We do not receive, transmit, or store this data on any server.

2.2 Block and Timer Configurations

• Scheduled block settings (selected apps/websites, time windows, days of week)
• Timer block settings (duration, preset names)
• App Group definitions (collections of apps/websites)
