This revision reflects the app as shipped on August 21, 2026: analysis runs on a server rather than on your device, and the app asks for your explicit agreement before any footage is uploaded. It reverses the on-device claims made in revisions before August 8, 2026.

The Short Version

Hardline reviews your calisthenics form from a training video. The video you choose to analyse leaves your device. Either still frames sampled from it, or the clip itself, are uploaded over an encrypted connection to our analysis service, which passes them to a third-party AI model — Google, through its Gemini API. That model is what produces your verdict. Nothing is uploaded until you have agreed to it inside the app: before your first analysis, the upload screen states that your clip is sent to our AI partners for analysis and asks you to tick a box. The App does not name the provider on screen — this policy does. Nothing identifying goes with the footage — no name, no body stats, no email, no device identifier. Everything else the App knows about you (your profile, your saved verdicts, your history) stays on your device. There are no user accounts. We use Superwall for subscriptions and PostHog for anonymous product analytics and session replay. We do not sell, share, or monetise your personal data.

2.1 Onboarding and Profile Data

• Your first name or nickname (as you enter it; you may enter anything)
• Body stats you choose to provide (birth date, height, weight, sex)
• Where you heard about the App
• Your target skills (for example, muscle-up, front lever, handstand), self-assessed level, training frequency, where you train, available equipment, the areas you want to improve, and your goals
• Coaching tone preference and your unit preference (metric or imperial)

This data shapes which movements the App shows you and how it talks to you. It is stored on your device in the App's private database, and it is not sent to us, to our analysis service, or to the AI model. Your analysis is produced from your footage alone.
